I'm getting some weird errors tonight on the official forum. I could login, but couldn't get into any of the chat sections.
I could tell who was logged in, but I really couldn't read anything or do anything.
Reply here if you're seeing the same thing.

If you go to low fi version, you can access all sections of the forum.

I've also been using the Active Topics hyperlink at the bottom of the page to read and post to the active threads. This works in hi-fi mode.

What I do is convoluted. Go lo-fi and select the thread that you want. Then go hi-fi and respond to the thread. Once you're in hi-fi mode, you have full access to all of the GUI goodies. It's just a pain to be switching back and forth.

There would have to be someone that cared. What was interesting was that someone at least cared enough to appoint Ken as mod, so we know that there was somebody that cared in January.

Yes, that's true. Ken did improve things. It was a small step forward.
The best plan, by far, would be to aim the DNS record at a fansite. We could run it here, and support 10x the bandwidth of ye old Phair forum, which strained to support whore's mighty sig lines, god bless him.
Things were starting to improve slightly, too, with the return of Baby Blue, Solar, and various nefarious others... not to mention Jamie and Jeremy's tab talk. (They should get married, I think, and do dueling guitar solos at the wedding). We were so close to merely sucking again. Even JOG was posting, and not merely to insult MLV. Now we're flirting with the void once more, awaiting the next Liz album, due out in 2023. Would it kill her to release an experimental jazz kazoo odyssey? Anything.

I just now tried to send a message to one of the admins. Let's see if it does any good.

LP Forum appears to be fully functional. I think it was XRay's PM that must have done it.
This morning, I was able to browse the sections, but I started getting errors on posting, but now that is fixed as well.
It looks good to me.
Edit: From all accounts, it is fully up. Thanks, XRay.

You're welcome. No big whoop though, anybody could have contacted one of the administrators and got the same results. Someone should try and contact rlew and inquire what's up with Liz. Raymond was "in the know" concerning Liz and what she was up too back in '03 and '04. He would occasionally log on and drop tidbits about Liz (tour news, appearances, things like that) and about forum changes and updates. Maybe Ray has some dope on what's up with Liz. Than again Ray hasn't been on the forum since mid '05 when it was switched over to this Invision version. Now, he's more than likely "out of the loop" concerning Liz and her career.

I'd like to see them drop BrettM as a mod, because BrettM is no longer active.
Someone running the board should also ask JOG what he's doing and give him a chance to redeem himself (going back to what he's supposed to be doing) or risk losing his position as moderator.
It's really simple: if you have the position, you have the responsibility, which includes zapping SPAM. If you don't want to do it, then let someone else have the responsibility.
You cannot impose any one position or view on the board--the board works the best when people are pretty much free to speak their mind and say what they want to say. If they say what you don't want to read, then either ignore them or stand up to them.
I've understood that the board had some runaway moderators who started banning people, changing their posts, bad mouthing members, etc. This is really awful and shouldn't be accepted. This was how Bionic Eyes stopped being a moderator over there.
It's not nearly that bad now, but it could be better with a little bit of enthusiasm. The enthusiasm has to mostly derive from the LP Forum members.

Ray no longer works for Capitol. He's moved on to other endeavors. From someone who's "in the know"...

Well that would explain why we haven't seen or heard from Ray in such a long time! Probably a wise move on his part. Ken, what other little bits of info are you aware of concerning Liz and Capitol, inquiry minds want to know!

I'm still wanting to know how much, if anything, Ken found out when he became a mod over at LP Forum.
I'm guessing: not much.
Anyways, we always like to know something, which is better than the lotta nothing that we have now.
