Sorry, I've been a bit preoccupied the last couple of days.  I didn't notice the SPAM buildup.

There was some more this evening.  It seems to have picked up.

I cleaned it all up.

There is one jerk that keeps posting the "I'm here" topics.  I think he also uses "beer" a lot in the thread subjects.  I keep on finding his shit in the General Forum.

Fortunately, the SPAM isn't really as bad here as it is on LP Forum, but I seem to have to delete stuff every day.

4/17.  There were about 6 or 7 tonight.  The rape videos threads was one of the more disturbing.

I think I got them all.

Who all has been removing the SPAM?  I know that I have.  A couple of days ago, Ken Lee remarked that there was a bunch of SPAM buildup and it happened when I had to take a brief break.

When I find the SPAM, I'll delete it once from General Chat and then again from the Landfill to remove it entirely.

I figure Harkrider is removing some of it as well, but I haven't seen much activity from Gev or -fub-.

I remove it when I see it.  But I've just returned from a 9 day business trip and was pretty unavailable during that time.  I'll try to keep it clean going forward.  Then again, we're such a small site.  I don't expect much SPAM to accumulate.  Maybe it's a good sign.

So when can we take over the lizphair.com message board?  Capitol is doing a most UN capital job supporting the site.  They should link to us from her official site.  It just sucks over there at the official LPF.  Hand control to the fans, that's what I say.

When did Ken get promoted?

I'm not complaining, mind you--the more of us that kill the SPAM, the less of a headache that it will be for all of us.

I am seeing a lot of "word salad".  It is nonsense sentences with hidden links based on certain words.  These links take you to dead places on some web hosting place, so it must be a subversive advertisement for the web hosting service.  This is kinda weird.

A reminder to the other moderators that you have to delete SPAM topics twice.  The first time, it goes to the landfill section.  It is only when you delete it from the landfill that it is truly deleted.

I keep on finding SPAM in the landfill, so someone's only deleting it once.

Only once when fearless leader was on did I not have to delete twice (he beat me to it).

Thanks for helping to keep this forum SPAM free.

I just got through deleting about 7 or 8 SPAM threads under both Liz Phair chat and general chat.

What was going on today?

Hey fellow moderators.  Remember that all SPAM has to be deleted twice!!

You delete it once from the original section and then delete it again from the landfill.

If you don't delete it a second time, it doesn't really get deleted.
