A reissue of Guyville on June 24. 4 new songs, including Ant in Alaska and Wild Thing. Also a DVD. Liz signs on with ATO Records. I first saw this on Ken Lee's Mesmerizing website, but I had news alerts from about half a dozen different sources. Try this one: http://www.spin.com/articles/ato-reissue-liz-phairs-exile-guyvilleHooray! On a personal note, this doesn't really change my position. I am working on my stress levels and that mostly means avoiding LPF AND this message board. Sorry! Anyways, I couldn't pass up today's big news.

also a new album is supposed to be released in the fall Maybe, if we're lucky, a tour to be announced later. I've heard opinions from some other old Liz fans that the new album was more welcome news. The fact that she's independent again probably gives her the freedom that she's desired for some time now. Let's hope it turns out great.

The myspace page has been updated. It says ATO Records and the picture is the cover of EIG.
Surprise!

If you wish to be amused, look who got the first comment posting on Liz Phair's myspace page after the announcement (3/31).
And, oh yes, Liz (or an associate) did update the myspace page with the association with ATO Records and the reissue of Exile in Guyville.

Ooo, I was so excited when I heard about that!! I got my EIG copy from a used book store, so I didn't know it was out of print at first. Even so< i'm completely gonna buy the re-release this summer. I cried when I read the news. I'm not kidding, tears in my eyes and everything. Also, did you guys read about how John Henderson is the one with the 3rd tape? I laughed.

I'll be interested when they set up a street team. I assume it will be announced on the myspace page.
Generally, street team members get more involved in helping to promote the artist.
Oh, and there was a bulletin out on myspace that Liz Phair has setup a facebook page as well.

lizphair.com officially changed today. It's under construction, but says that EIG to be released June 24.
No more pointer to the old message board.
This happened quicker than I thought.
zrog pointed this out over on Camp.

I've never had a problem with pop ups this highly concerns me. On a lighter note robbies healthy (the black rabbit him and t-rex have been bouncing stuff off each other and working my ass). As for "Two Chicks" she is supporting can smasher just to kiss ass to ant in alaska cause she knows without her this sight ain't shit. signing off daddy-o.

lizphair.com is still "coming soon". It may take awhile to actually come into being.

Got a ominous feeling that LPF as we know it may soon come to an end. The same member, MarlieChristine, has been listed as the newest member joining the forum for at least a month now. The spammers have suddenly disappeared, that's a good thing, and the activity is down to a trickle. Since the old SM website for Liz shut down, there is no place for Liz fans to find a link to LPF. I feel LPF is on life support and could have the plug pulled any day now. I guess it may still be running if and when ATO decides to install the new LizPhair.com and they provide a link to it. Maybe that's the plan, they'll keep the old message board as part of the new LizPhair.com. Really puzzled though why the spammers have vanished?? Anywhoo, maybe it's time to try and kick some life into this board. Nothing against the faithful members of LPF, but I would rather hang on a board that centers on Liz and her career rather than the General Discussion portion of the forum. I think this board has the potential to be more Liz centric.
