The old saying goes that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. 

It's an old hunting saying that means that you don't give up something solid on the chance that you might get more by doing something else.

Speaking of avians, here's the White Bird of Texas knocking over a drugstore.  I think that this verse got cut from the WCSE sessions.
