Out of mothballs for the 15th anniversary reissue of Exile -- and  featuring a full entry on the advance CD from ATO.

I'll be slowly adding new entries for other releases, compilations, etc.; there is quite a backlog since my last regular posts in 2003. Stop by and say hello; feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated....

The main page is here: http://home.comcast.net/~discographer/liz/index.html

Cheers,

Charles

Hi Charles,
I get the following message when I visit Never Said:

This Site Is Under Construction and Coming Soon.

Is it down temporarily?

Ken, not sure why you had problems -- it just opened for me at the URL noted above. Comcast can be flaky at times...

You can also get in via:  http://home.comcast.net/~discographer/liz/  or   http://discographer.home.comcast.net/~discographer/liz/

Let me know if you continue to have problems accessing the site.

I am glad that Never Said is back online.  This was one of the sites that I hated seeing go by the wayside when I was first getting into Liz (although it hasn't really been that long).

Your discography was simply the best and I hope that doesn't upset Ken, because I consider Mesmerizing to be the best overall site for getting general and wide ranging information about Liz.

Now that I have a better handle on a lot of the Liz material, I'll have to go back and do a much more thorough look at the site.

Here recently, I've been much too busy and I'm not sure when that's going to end.

DDD, thanks for the kind words. The site (and the original ASCII-only Usenet version of the discography) has been a labor of love for a long time.

I've received very little practical feedback on the site since it debuted, so I'm curious to know what folks here find helpful and/or annoying about the site. Any suggestions to make the thing a better resource are appreciated.

I've posted a few more new entries in the last week and I'll keep slogging through the backlog as time permits.

The Never Said discography was one of the first Liz Phair sites that grabbed my attention.  I liked the overall layout.

I have noticed that you haven't added entries for the last couple of soundtracks:
  • Nancy Drew - Perfect Misfit
  • No Reservations - Count On My Love

You also didn't mention the guitar playing on Sorry Baby, on Minnie Driver's latest album.  I know a lot of people that were bummed when they actually figured out that Liz's voice was not a part of the song even though Liz's participation was heavily hyped.

Of the bunch, I would think that Perfect Misfit would be a little more important, since it was the first new material since SM, but I really prefer not to quibble over other fan's choices.  Liz's music is great and not everyone likes every song and we all should appreciate what bonds us together and not the minor differences.

I've noticed that the number of Liz sites seems to have dropped off from a rather large number several years ago.  I've had bookmark websites (my own personal bookmarks uploaded to geocities) for a number of years.  Awhile back, I added yours to the site and I was sorry when it disappeared.

I would like to see a complete listing of the various songs from all of the albums, demos, etc. with all of the wrong titles cross referenced to the correct title, so that you could search on a wrong title and have it point you to the correct one.  With the rather incredibly large number of demos and partial cuts floating around and various versions of Girly Sound out there, it would be a substantial task.

I just don't have that time that I used to have or else I'd do that.  I find myself wanting to actually do something useful, but I'm rather time poor these days.
