That was the first time I've seen Liz perform so well since pre-Liz Phair. It's clear Liz feels liberated. You can hear it in her voice.

Liz really sounds fantastic. "Divorce Song" was probably her best. "Fuck and Run" was fierce and alive like it was 1993 again. As much as I loved hearing "Nashville" live, I didn't like the performance too much.

My one big beef: no drums! It's not like they didn't have a drum set to use or anything! I'd argue that every single one of the songs in this set could have benefited from having a drum. The pounding bass and snare of "Nashville," the steady, matter-of-fact beats in "Divorce Song" and "Fuck and Run," and the powerful crashes in the chorus of "Stratford-On-Guy," all missing. Oh well, I'm sure the tour will feature a full band.

I have most of the entire set, but the stream cut out in the middle of Nashville unfortunately. I restarted it but there's a bit of a gap. Can anyone upload the flash stream of Liz's set? It looks like now they're just replaying the Guided by Voices set over and over now unfortunately.
