Thought I'd start a thread for people to post their own show reviews as well as any publication reviews that anybody finds.  Here's an initial one from the Belly-Up show on Oct 5th.     http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2010/oct/06/x-rated-pop-poet-liz-phair-hits-highlights-belly/

Stating the obvious: wouldn't it be nice if someone had captured "nashville" or "may queen" on video instead of that inane interlude? Oh well.

Looking forward to a New York show, and hoping she surprises with more groovy old tunes. Been pretty impressed with what she's done lately.

Great setlist. Not surprising, but nothing off of Somebody's Miracle. And only two songs from the new album. Can't wait for the East Coast dates!

"And He Slayed Her" and "Oh, Bangladesh". the setlist is posted at mesmerizingtoo.com.

it's a shame only one measly video from the show is up on youtube. i really want to know how the new songs sound live, with a full band. Liz was so good at the Matador thing, i imagine her own shows should be even better. and the setlist is perfect. if you get rid of the 2 matrix songs, that is (why is she's still playing those?) i'm glad she did "friend of mine", though. it's the one song off of the self titled i can bear to listen.

please, please, please someone tape and share one of the shows. i don't live in the USA. i don't even live in the northern hemisphere. i'll never get the chance to see Liz live.

I've heard Liz perform "Flower" in several different ways, but I've never really enjoyed any of them. People still seem to like it played for the "shock" factor, and nothing more. I think it's time for it to be retired.

Lots of pictures plus 2 videos of Liz performing "Divorce Song" and "Flower" from Pink is the New Blog.  Ken has the links at Mesmerizing.       http://www.mesmerizingtoo.com/news.html
