182 minutes, and that's what they talked about? New York magazine is total shit, but it must be said: what an unflattering portrait of Liz Phair, at least from the rock and roll end of things.

The article reads like the author decided to cut out all substance and only write about the most superficial issues, e.g. all of the comments about appearence, make-up, etc.

Goodman's description of Liz as "Phair, 43, is the size of your average 11-year-old girl..." is condescending, trying to juvenlize Liz and dismiss her as childlike before doing so later on in her editorial decisions of what to quote and comment on. Liz is very petite, but she also has great very-womanly curves that 11 year old girls don't and that most adult women would envy. Makes one wonder if Goodman has personal insecurities about her own appearance and envy of Liz for being so attractive, face and figure.
